That looks like the marketing people getting in the way again. If yous are seeing what is in the image in a higher place, they are trying to sell y'all an additional service. Only click on Non Interested beside the Purchase Now button.

I already have Norton Utilities Premium (had Norton Utilities xvi as well), which I got for Free with Norton 360 auto-renew subscription.

So.. What does Smart Browse (already loaded itself with NO accuse, though extra utils were being Marketed for greenbacks) practise that Premium Utilities does Not?

Got Dark-green checks (quickly) on first two parts, simply Advanced Issues was STILL running, with NO RESULTS, after Over an Hr. Doesn't give a Inkling how far into its "chore" it is, and when it might be finished. NO Clue as to exactly what it had checked Already, and What information technology seemed to get "stuck" in. NO Abolish button. I clicked on Home Icon, on superlative, and was asked if I Really wanted to quit, since information technology was still checking.

I Proceed GETTING ASKED virtually Norton Utilities Premium, fifty-fifty though I Take IT, And Take Been Using it, with Car settings, for Over a Year.

Also MUCH Beingness SHOVED AT U.s.a.!!

Why should I run Smart Scan to resolve problems? Will not the existing Norton scans resolve this?
Unlike the existing Norton scans that browse for threats and operation problems, Smart Browse performs a comprehensive scan for viruses and malware, network vulnerabilities, functioning issues, and privacy issues.

Why do I see unlike issues at dissimilar times?

Norton 360 Premium, takes care of Cyber.... Doesn't it?? Or else what is it doing?
Norton Utilities Premium takes intendance of CPU usage, cookies, Temp files, Junk files, and other things that Smart Scan is listed equally doing.
Isn't there supposed to exist INCLUDED Support if something goes wrong with your computer, because of Malware, if Norton 360 IS Installed AND Running???
Otherwise, WHAT am I paying a YEARLY Auto-Renew Subscription for Norton 360 Premium (which GAVE me Utilities Premium) for?

I merely received an automated update that contains the smart scan promo. I Practise Not WANT THIS. Norton needs to fix this apace or they will lose customers. I practise not want a piece of software that I pay handsomely for to accept a promo ad display prominently. THIS IS Not Right.

This is like buying a toaster and then finding out that you tin purchase a firmware update if you want your toast darker. I bought an anti-virus program to protect my calculator online and that tin scan for and remove malware. Now they want more money for the features they boasted nearly in advertising the product?

Smart Scan run from My Norton view displays the same My Norton view before and later on Smart Scan run.

Smart Scan run from Classic view displays My Norton view after Smart Browse run.

I'm curious what "promo ads" you're seeing?  I'm seeing the aforementioned "Additional Apps and Services" that, as I recall, were with My Norton view from before Smart Scan characteristic.

On my machines Smart Scan run from My Norton view displays the same My Norton view earlier and after Smart Scan run.

The image you show is what I come across. I did not used to see information technology. It appears to be an overlay that sits on the prior image of a hiker. I don't care near whatever of that. What I intendance about is that when I run the smart browse it tells me what has been found and displays a RESOLVE button. When I click on resolve it automatically tries to nib me using the credit menu I accept on file.  That sneaky attempt is bad enough but I bought an antivirus plan that is supposed to resolve issues already. Why should we have to pay more fore something the plan should already be doing?

Similar some have mentioned, I just started seeing the "SMART Browse" push button a twenty-four hours or two ago.  I have 5 machines and only 2 of them seem to have this.  I thought, perchance, that I inadvertently agreed to update to "Premium", which is supposed to be free with auto-renew enabled.  I always avoid that and click "No Thanks".  Reason is because when information technology's time to renew, I often find Norton 360 for less coin elsewhere (Amazon or online retailer running a special).  Still, I suspect afterwards reading everyone's posts, this might simply be showing upwardly now in 360 and another way for Norton to get us into the premium program??

I clicked "Smart Scan" and got to the Advanced section where it has the resolve button.  I did not click resolve because information technology offers no details about the bug, and no style to uncheck things you don't want information technology to mess with.  I have startup programs I need regardless of what the scan recommends and don't want them disabled.  I have Iolo Organisation Mechanic for those things, and information technology is first-class.  I don't need Premium with a i click fixes all button.  I like granular command.  Norton 360 is awesome for Virus/Firewall, and that'south all I need...Organization Mechanic is superior, IMHO, for system tune upward with a myriad of options.  That's the all-time from each company.  I don't care for the other offerings from either...although I certainly understand why they would want a client to be totally in their ecosystem.

Isn't Norton Utilities Premium supposed to exist a Computer "Melody Upwards"?? Why would I need to Purchase Another one, from the Same Company. What does information technology practice Differently, from Utilities Premium?

Ultimate Assist Desk? Isn't Utilities Premium Also supposed to help Fix bug?

If someone wants to meet programs bachelor from a Utility provider, Why non just have a "Practice you want to encounter what Other utilities you might like to take?" Instead of Offering them, Inside the running utility??

AND Shouldn't the Symantec/Norton system Encounter that you Already have Purchased AND are Using Symantec/Norton programs, that exercise the SAME things equally the programs that are being PUSHED in the Already Installed and Running programme?

I Keep being asked to buy Norton Utilities Premium, fifty-fifty though I Downloaded information technology and Installed it AND AM USING IT (for Over a Year).

I was NOT ASKED whether I wanted to Add Smart Browse to My Norton.... But, it GOT THERE. When I went to run information technology... Hmmmm.. Should I have been MALWARE SUSPICIOUS?? "Something has Hacked my Norton Program, and ADDED a plan!!!!"

I DID Run It.. First two parts took Less than 5mins. Network part was less than 20secs... WOW!!! Quick Network check!! Didn't Prove what it Had Checked. Advanced Issues Didn't bear witness Anything about what it was checking... NO Progress Bar. I left it running... Had something to swallow.. Read a book. Came back... Notwithstanding RUNNING!! Still NO Idea of What Had Been Checked.. What was LEFT. I Know information technology was AT LEAST Ane 60 minutes RUNNING. NO Cancel or Intermission buttons. No Show Details push. No Resolve button either. I clicked on Abode Icon, on Acme of window. Got window, request whether I actually wanted to Quit the Still Running program. Aye, I wanted to Quit. NOTHING SHOWN about What or Whether it had Completed anything.

AGAIN... Showing "Buy Now" inside a utility that is supposed to be watching for JUNK/MALWARE beingness SENT to your reckoner is NOT RIGHT. Image coming to mind, of a picture showing an drome track thru the cock-pit windows, with a screen on the control dashboard maxim "To continue using this App, please Purchase Windows Now!".

Perhaps, the 84 Performance Consequence Resolved were the temporary files created past Smart Scan run.
Note: did non click Resolve.

....and next Smart Scan run.   No Issue Constitute
Maybe, Close does same equally Resolve?
